Wow, what a terrific day!

I joined members of the Thousand Islands Quilt Guild today for a fabric painting day at the Brockville Rowing Club. We each spread out our plastic picnic cloths and painted, stamped, monoprinted, and sprayed our way to right-brain nirvana! What fun. I came home with 25+ pieces of painted fabric.
This is just a sample that was dry enough to snap.
I had forgotten how easy and forgiving fabric painting is as a medium compared to dyeing. Though dyeing provides uncomparable depth of shade and colour richnees, fabric dyeing is so hassle free; no mixing, no straining, no auxiliary chamicals needed. We just spread out the cloth and went at it. Terrific! Posted by Picasa
