another River piece

This is going to be a large one. I've only got 1/3 of it roughed in on the wall. I spend a lot of time staring out at the St Lawrence river. This has had an impact on the fabric that I dye, paint and print and the colour choices I have been making lately. These colour combinations are looking more and more like words to me - a watery alphabet of sorts.
My sense is that the St Lawrence has a lot to say these days.

My cutting table where this new 'watery vocabulary' is being cut and sorted.

Time is a ticking.

Water alphabet- I love the ideas these words invoke- it would be a great title for a series- and the first one is looking good!

I love living on the water myself, and it has a great influence on colour. You are right.
This piece looks as if it will be amazing. Great stuff.
