Look what came in the mail today!

A packet of Royal Purple Beans from my cyber buddy and artist extra ordinaire Mary Beth Bellah. Check out her magnificent quilt at this site - it is truly unique!
For the serious gardeners who like latin, these beauties are also known as habichuelas fagioli. They grow purple but cook up green - very colourful!

I can't plant these babies until all threat of cold in the ground is gone. up here in Ontario that means post May 26. In the interim I shall plan my garden and count my beans.
