'Swept Up ' threaded


Finally, all that thread - every square inch .
I wanted to create a ripply texture with the thread to suggest a Canadian climate for these tulips. The heavy thread work is supposed to represent wind, lots of it.
Maybe I ended up with just a lot of thread. Threading this was a long meditative excecise. A highlight was listening to Michael Jean read the speech from the throne.

Tulips are my favourite flowers (although it is a shame that they have no smell) and I think your quilt is WONDERFUL! I was also interested to see the pieces from your Nancy Crow workshop. I am doing an "Improvisations" workshop with Nancy in Ohio in July - can't wait!
