busy organizing 37 colours of dye

A while back, ProChem had a great sale on MX dyes. I couldn't resist. I bought a box-load of colour. I have used most of these in the past, but never really took the time to have a really good look at each.

The first picture shows snippets of dyed china silk with a thick dab of thiox paste. I am waiting for the thiox to dry a bit before hitting the lot with a steam irom.

In the second picture you can see that the thiox is beginnig to react with the dye. the discharge process has begun without any heat at all.

This pic shows snippets of dyed silk/rayon velvet also curing with thix. The velvet is the most fun to watch - front and back. lots of surprises. Posted by Picasa
